Warwick
Castle,
the
finest Mediaeval Castle in England, rises majestically from
the banks of the River Avon, just a few miles from
Shakespeare's Stratford, on a site fortified by William the
Conqueror in 1068.
Bursting to the towers with tales of treachery and torture,
passion and power and above all fascinating people, times
and events, Warwick Castle is so much more than simply a
castle. With thousands of stories to share, the Castle is
Britain's Greatest Mediaeval Experience with authentically
themed attractions, a full programme of interactive
entertainment including live action events, and costumed
guides and colourful castle characters telling spell binding
tales and springing plenty of surprises along the way.
Experience the sights, smells and sounds of mediaeval life
in the Kingmaker attraction, feel the weight of a sword in
Death or Glory - the Castle's armoury, or brave the chilling
dungeon and torture chamber. Visit the elegant State Rooms
and magnificent Great hall, meet Daisy, Countess of Warwick,
in the Royal Weekend Party and see how the Mill and Engine
House were used to generate electricity in 1894. The Castle
has 60 acres of stunning grounds and gardens to explore.
Warwick
Ghosts - Alive (1st April to 29th October)

Warwick Ghosts - Alive returns. The legendary ghost tower is

Warwick’s most famous ghost to life as the story of Sir
Fulke Greville’s murder is recreated before your very eyes.
Warwick Ghosts – Alive is screamingly good fun but visitors
are advised that its scary content may make it unsuitable
for children under eight or anyone of a nervous disposition.
An additional charge applies and pre-booking is advised.
Jousting – twice daily until 3rd September!!
Relive the power and drama of the joust as Warwick’s brave
knights go head to head in a contest of courage, colourful
horsemanship and military precision. Choose your side and
cheer for your favourite knight!
