Following on from our successful Talking Heads productions, we present a further evening of popular Alan Bennett works, including A Woman of No Importance.

Organised by Kenilworth Lions in aid of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance

The Jack Daniels big band has a reputation for delivering swing and style to challenging modern big band charts together with the standards of the great bands from the Swing Era, including Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and Buddy Rich. The band features vocals from the American Song Book with arrangements popularised by Judy Garland, Peggy Lee, Julie London, Ella, Sinatra and Bobby Darin. Robbie Williams has recently revived some of these classics.

Medieval Knights, Kenilworth Castle
Join us for a medieval Easter event as we are joined by dozens of medieval knights and soldiers. Richard III was the last English king to fall in battle, but was he a hero or tyrant? See the castle brought to life with over 100 folk from the Middle Ages and enjoy spectacular arena shows and have-a-go drills for children.

Elizabeth Returns, Kenilworth Castle
This weekend marks a year since the launch of our authentically re-created Elizabethan garden. Join us as we go back 435 years to the year 1575, when the garden was first completed for the visit of Queen Elizabeth I during her royal progress around the country. Watch displays of falconry, plays, music and courtly chivalry as Queen Elizabeth herself returns to be entertained by her courtiers

Kenilworth Festival, Various Venues around the town
The Kenilworth Festival had been an annual community event in the town for decades and was resurrected in 2005. In 2008, the Kenilworth Rotary Club chose to support the event and have helped to secure its future. We plan to continue the Festival for many years to come, but we’re always in need of volunteers to help before, during and after!
The 2010 Kenilworth Festival is set to be bigger and better than ever before. Events have been organised to cater for people of all ages - whether you are a fan of music, drama, sport, food or arts and crafts there will be something for you.

Train to become one of Robin Hood’s merry men with Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham. Take part in archery, sword fighting lessons and hear fabulous tales about the mythical outlaw.

Siddeleys Come Home for Father’s Day, Kenilworth Castle
Come along to the castle on Father’s Day to see 40 vintage Armstrong Siddeley vehicles from 1902 to 1960 on display and chat to their owners. 2010 marks the 50th year of the Armstrong Siddeley Motors Club which has strong ties with the castle, as the castle was once owned by John Siddeley, First Baron of Kenilworth and founder of Siddeley Motors and it was his family who gave the castle to the people of Kenilworth in 1958 before it came into the care of English Heritage in 1984.

Love in Shakespeare, Kenilworth Castle
Join the cast of Heartbreak Productions for an evening of theatrical entertainment as they tell the story of one man’s journey through love and romance as depicted through an assortment of the Bard’s great plays. Colourful observations on the highs and lows of the emotional rollercoaster that is love, interwoven with music and dance. Don’t forget to bring your own seating, suitable outdoor clothing and a picnic.

Budding knights needed! Fearless, daring, brave, does that sound like you? Then join us to learn about the art of medieval warfare. What better way to learn the skills required of a medieval warrior than to get ‘armoured up’ for battle and have sword-fighting lessons. Study hard… your skills will be needed to defend the realm in our mock battle!

Join us as we take a step back into Kenilworth’s turbulent past, from the Normans who built the castle to the Tudors who lived here. Explore the living history camps and allow our arena displays to tell stories of the castle’s history.

Haunted Halloween, Kenilworth Castle
This October half-term, give your little terrors a ’spooktacular’ experience at Kenilworth Castle, when the basement of Leicester’s Gatehouse is transformed into the ‘Dungeon of Doom’. Throughout the week, Kenilworth’s younger visitors will be invited to follow a trail of cryptic yet poetic clues around the site to solve the Halloween mystery. With the trail completed, they have to report to the Dungeon Master in the ground floor of Kenilworth’s Gatehouse, to receive a small sweet prize.
